Transfer students can lose valuable college credits when courses do not clearly align across institutions, adding time and cost to earning a degree. With a $1,546,875 grant from Greater Texas Foundation, the Texas Transfer Alliance, led by Educate Texas at Communities Foundation of Texas, will help institutions in the state implement an AI-enabled tool to modernize how colleges evaluate and apply transfer credits. By connecting these tools with the Texas Common Course Numbering System, the project will make credit transfer more transparent, reduce credit loss, and help Texas students earn degrees faster and at lower cost.
