Universities redesign the first two years

Over half of all student attrition in postsecondary takes place in the first two years of college. A $1,144,898 grant from Greater Texas Foundation to the Gardner Institute will help up to six Texas universities redesign their first two years of college to improve retention and academic success. Universities that commit to the Transformation Initiative will use institutional data to identify areas for improvement and capacity building, develop and implement an action plan, and refine and scale outcomes across the institution. With support from Gardner Institute, relationships managers at these institutions will make significant impacts on retention and completion while remaining committed to continuous improvement.
