The University of Houston-Downtown is launching a new initiative to reengage students who have stopped out without completing a degree. This initiative will target students have stopped out since 2018 without completing a degree, leaving many with college credits but no credential. With a $600,000 grant from Greater Texas Foundation, the University of Houston-Downtown will launch a two-year effort to reconnect these former students with structured degree-completion pathways. The initiative will test new approaches to help returning adult learners overcome barriers and earn a postsecondary credential.
