Historically, many rural economies are based on agriculture, but that narrative is changing dramatically with the development of high-tech businesses among these communities. A $888,691 grant from Greater Texas Foundation to Temple College will support the building of 5 collaborative Dual Credit Career and Technical Education pathways shared across eight different schools. These pathways will allow rural districts to share needed CTE resources to help participating students receive at least 9 college credits, a Level I certificate from Temple College, and one embedded industry-recognized certification.
