With only 15% of high school students enrolled in dual credit classes in South-Central Texas, five rural public school districts and a community college plan to collaborate to provide academic and career resources, guidance and support necessary for students to complete a postsecondary or workforce career credential. The collaboration, called the Alliance for College and Career Student Success in South-Central Texas (ACCSS), involves Columbus ISD, Fayetteville ISD, Flatonia ISD, Schulenburg ISD, Weimar ISD and Blinn College at Schulenburg working together with a particular focus on serving underrepresented students in higher education.
