Rural community colleges across the state will expand course offerings to students through inter-institutional course sharing facilitated by the Digital Higher Education Consortium of Texas (DigiTex). DigiTex facilitates course sharing at community colleges across the state, enabling students to take needed courses offered by other institutions without the burden of navigating the complications of credit transfer. Support from Greater Texas Foundation will increase the number of STEM and in-demand shorter-term courses within the course-sharing ecosystem for students enrolled in rural community colleges.
