In 2019, Jobs for the Future (JFF), brought its successful Back on Track model to Texas with support from Greater Texas Foundation. JFF identified five programs serving youth who have fallen off track to high school graduation and provided funding and technical assistance to help the programs build stronger bridges to postsecondary pathways for students. In 2020 JFF initiated work with an additional five programs. Greater Texas Foundation will continue to support the Back on Track in Texas model with a new grant of $410,000 to JFF to solidify practices and partnerships so that young people who are disengaged from high school not only graduate high school but also make seamless transitions to postsecondary education and training.
