Building Stronger Pathways for Opportunity Youth in the Coastal Bend

Young adults in rural communities can face significant barriers to reconnecting with education, gaining work experience, and finding a clear path to economic mobility. With a $404,626 grant from Greater Texas Foundation, Jobs for the Future will partner with Education to Employment Partners to strengthen college and career pathways for Opportunity Youth ages 16–26 in Jim Wells and Kleberg Counties. The initiative will expand career navigation supports, connections to reengagement programs, dual enrollment, and apprenticeships while helping local practitioners better support rural, justice-impacted, and former foster youth.
