Full-time students enrolled at ACC are twice as likely to utlize tutoring and coaching services compared to their part-time peers. ACC is launching a pilot that unites Academic Coaches/Advisors, Supplemental Instructors, and Embedded Tutors to serve the same students and faculty in the same classrooms. A grant for $416,634 from Greater Texas Foundation will support the implementation and evaluation of the embedded learning supports model. ACC will pilot the model in core courses with high failure and/or drop out rates. The goal is to decrease the number of students who fail or drop these core courses and increase postsecondary persistence and completion.
