Greater Texas Foundation will consider making charitable contributions to organizations that operate in Texas and that are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and which support or provide specific programs targeting education in furtherance of Greater Texas Foundation’s exempt purposes, mission, and vision. In general, the foundation supports programs and/or services in two principle areas:
1). Post-Secondary Education (preparation, access, persistence and completion): For this funding principle, grants will target investments in the education pipeline from ninth grade through completion of a post-secondary credential (certificate, associate’s or bachelor’s degree).
2). Math and Science for Post-Secondary Readiness: For this funding principle, grants will target investments in the education pipeline from the fourth grade through the twelfth grade with emphasis on completion of Algebra II.
