Dr. Samuel Gillespie received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of
Illinois, Urbana. He went on to earn both his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Marketing also from the University of Illinois. Following his degree completion, he taught for 33 years as a marketing professor at Texas A&M. He retired from teaching in 2001.
Dr. Gillespie is a member of Greater Texas Foundation’s board, serving since
1984 and is currently the Vice President. He is also a member of the
Executive Committee, Investment Committee, Charitable Activities Committee
and serves as the chair of the Audit and Accountability Committee.
He lives in Canyon Lake, TX with his wife, Patricia.
