$356,499 over two years plus up to $150,000 on a 1:1 matching basis in year three to University of Texas at San Antonio to fund the Teacher Academy Induction Learning Community (TAILC). TAILC provides induction support to UTSA graduates pursuing certification in teaching shortage areas upon entry into the teaching profession. The grant will also allow UTSA to partner with schools to implement research based strategies to retain culturally efficacious teachers, those who are successful in schools with a diverse student population.
