$864,000 to Texas High School Project – Community Foundations of Texas to create a scholarship fund for graduates of the first four graduating classes of the Northwest Early College High School (ECHS). The Northwest ECHS—a partnership of Canutillo ISD and El Paso Community College—aims to help needy high school students go on to higher education. Students earn a high school diploma and can earn an associate’s degree or up to 60 hours college credit. The scholarship fund is intended to help Northwest ECHS graduates make the transition to a four-year university.
