$300,000 to Education is Freedom to provide scholarship assistance to help qualifying students pay tuition, fees, and other education-related expenses which are not covered by other scholarships or grants. Education is Freedom (EIF) Dallas was founded in 2003. The program’s approach to scholarship assistance is to help students access scholarships and financial aid offered by private and public sources and then provide Close-the-Gap Scholarships that assist qualifying EIF Dallas students. Close-the-Gap Scholarships cover 100 percent of the shortfall of students’ available funding for all tuition and fees if attending an in-state public two- or four-year college and 50 percent of the shortfall for students attending out-of-state or private school.
