$150,000 to The ColLABorative (LAB) to support implementation of the Road to College Program. The program focuses on drop-out prevention and college preparation for underserved and economically challenged students at two Texas charter management organizations, Uplift Education and IDEA. The program was initially developed at IDEA in response to the great need for a college-readiness program for children of low-income immigrants, many of whom will be the first in their family to attend college. The LAB has enhanced the program through integration of additional researched best practices.
