$25,000 each to Sul Ross State University (Alpine, TX); The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (Odessa, TX); The University of Texas at San Antonio; The University of Houston-Downtown; University of North Texas (Denton, TX); Texas A&M University at Galveston; Texas A&M University (College Station, TX); Midland College; University of Texas at El Paso; and Texas A&M University at Texarkana. The financial assistance provided through the Rising to the Challenge Scholarship Program is intended to encourage and support underrepresented and first generation students in making the transition from a community-college setting to a four-year institution.
