$864,000 to the Texas High School Project and Communities Foundation of Texas to fund establishment of the Northwest Early College High School at El Paso Community College in partnering with Canutillo ISD. The project is designed to increase access to higher education for underserved and underrepresented students. Each Early College High School (ECHS) is located on a college campus so that ECHS students can attend both high school and college courses. Students earn a high school diploma and can earn an associate’s degree or up to 60 hours of college credit. The goal is 100% graduation and transfer into a four-year college or university.
