$30,000 to Head Start of Greater Dallas (HSGD) to support implementation of Head Start curriculum utilizing Hands on Science Outreach, an Early Childhood Math/Science Pilot Project. The HSGD curriculum involves both classroom instruction and activities parents can conduct with children at home. It is designed to introduce the sciences to children at a very young age and includes lessons on anatomy, chemistry, earth science, color and light, sound, and solar energy. The first year included 15 classrooms impacting 283 students.
